Of his 40+ years in the pool and spa biz, more than half of them have been spent leading A-TEX. In his limited free time, Chris enjoys cooking, spending time with his family, and of course, soaking in his hot tub at home.
Business Management
Amarillo-native Shawn started with A-TEX as a retail associate and worked his way up to store management. After spending a few years in spa stores in Oregon and Colorado, Shawn returned to Austin with his wife and young son to manage A-TEX as a whole.
A Texas native and proud Longhorn (class of ‘86!), Stan has been with A-TEX longer than any of us. He loves when the adult children of customers who bought from us back in the 1980s become customers themselves, continuing their family fun tradition.

Store Managers
After starting her career in spa and pool sales in North Carolina, Tammy brought her skills to A-TEX in 2015, working her way up to management with the opening of our newest store in Northwest Austin.
Native Austinite Woodson has done it all at A-TEX, and recently moved into management at our North location after a long stint as our resident billiards expert. His wife Blaire works at the Georgetown store.
After working her way up from retail, Irelend is now an assistant manager and the resident chemical expert at our North store.
Joann came to us in 1990 to help set up our winter seasonal offerings, and has been with us ever since. She loves being in and around water as much as she loves helping her customers get in it.
Austin-born and Austin-raised Blaire got her start shortly after her husband Woodson. The most rewarding part of her job is connecting customers with hydrotherapy for managing chronic pain.
